Job Summary
CBRE, a global leader in commercial real estate services and investments, is seeking a Field Maintenance Engineer to join its team in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Pakistan. This full-time position is part of CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) division, which provides comprehensive facilities management and real estate services worldwide. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and quality of maintenance operations at service stations, thereby supporting the organization’s commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
The Field Maintenance Engineer will act as the primary contact for all Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) matters, fostering a proactive safety culture across operations. Managing the Permit to Work (PTW) system is a critical duty, which includes issuing permits, delivering training, and ensuring that suppliers meet qualification standards.

Conducting Asset Condition Surveys at service stations within the assigned region is essential to identify maintenance requirements. The role also involves preparing for and actively participating in bi-weekly and monthly Market Unit meetings to review and enhance operational performance.

The engineer will prepare, audit, and validate Costed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) related to CMEP activities, ensuring alignment with current market rates. Additionally, verifying maintenance-related invoices to confirm accuracy and appropriateness of costs is required.

Evaluating whether equipment should be repaired or replaced and recommending cost-effective solutions is a key responsibility. The engineer will perform quality checks on completed maintenance and repair work to ensure compliance with standards.

Coordination with the PSC team is necessary to maintain accurate and up-to-date asset data. The role demands prompt response to emergency call-outs and securing work sites as needed.

Liaising with the Project Management Contractor (PMC) and Regional Operations Manager (ROM) is vital to minimize project disruptions and ensure that equipment data is correctly integrated into Maximo/FMP systems.

Supporting supplier development through regular operational meetings to monitor contract performance is expected. Collaboration with the Centre of Excellence (COE) will facilitate knowledge sharing and the implementation of best practices across the organization.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Civil. A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance is required, with a strong emphasis on HSSE management. Experience in fuel station maintenance and familiarity with the petroleum industry will be advantageous.

Proficiency in both verbal and written communication in English and local or regional languages is essential. Candidates should be competent in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with computer programs related to design and work management.

Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal, and conceptual skills are necessary to succeed in this role.
