Job Summary
MEC is looking for a skilled Content Writer to join our team and help elevate our website through engaging blog posts, informative guides, and persuasive marketing copy. The successful candidate will research industry-related topics and create clear, compelling content that effectively promotes MEC’s products and services. Maintaining a consistent style and tone across all published materials is essential. This role is based in Lahore and offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with on-site collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
The Content Writer will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on niche industry topics using online resources, interviews, and studies to ensure accuracy and relevance. You will craft concise and impactful marketing copy designed to promote MEC’s offerings effectively. Proofreading and editing blog posts for quality and accuracy before publication is a critical part of the role.

You will submit your written content to editors for review and incorporate feedback to meet MEC’s standards. Collaboration with marketing and design teams is necessary to produce visually appealing and engaging articles. Additionally, you will perform basic keyword research and apply SEO best practices to enhance web traffic and online visibility.

Maintaining consistency in style, fonts, images, and tone across all content is vital to uphold the brand’s identity. You will also identify gaps in existing content based on customer needs and suggest new topics to address those gaps, ensuring MEC’s content remains relevant and comprehensive.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have proven experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or in a similar role. A portfolio showcasing published articles is mandatory and should be submitted with the application. Excellent writing and editing skills in English are essential, along with strong research capabilities using diverse sources to gather accurate information.

Experience with Content Management Systems such as WordPress is advantageous but not required. Applicants with 1-2 years of relevant experience, including freelancing, will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
This is a full-time contract position for a duration of 24 months. The job is located at 91 MB Phase 6, DHA Lahore, and follows a hybrid work model that balances remote and on-site work.

The monthly salary ranges from Rs45,000 to Rs50,000. Candidates with at least one year of content writing experience are preferred.
