Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional for a full-time role focused on cost accounting and financial processes related to supplies and inventory management. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations by managing cost analysis, ledger maintenance, invoice verification, and stock management. The ideal candidate will contribute significantly to maintaining financial integrity and supporting operational decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include performing comprehensive cost accounting activities with an emphasis on supplies costs. This involves conducting variance analysis to detect and resolve discrepancies. The candidate will assist in maintaining the General Ledger, especially in relation to vendor invoicing for supplies, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date. Preparing reconciliations for finished goods, vendors, and other relevant accounts is a key part of the role, helping to maintain clear and accurate financial records.
Additionally, the role requires developing and maintaining landed cost sheets for imported items. This ensures that all costs associated with imports are accurately captured and reflected in the financial statements. The candidate will also conduct monthly physical stock counts, maintaining detailed inventory records to support stock accuracy and control.
Another critical task is recording and verifying invoices within the ERP system, ensuring proper documentation and timely payment processing. This responsibility demands a high level of attention to detail and familiarity with ERP workflows to prevent errors and delays.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold an MBA in Finance or be CMA Part Qualified. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in cost accounting or related financial roles is essential to succeed in this position. Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems is required, as these tools are integral to daily operations and financial analysis.
Strong analytical skills are necessary to interpret financial data effectively and support informed decision-making across departments. The ability to work methodically and accurately under pressure is also important, given the nature of financial record-keeping and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with Oracle Financial Analyzer or similar financial analysis tools is considered an advantage and will enhance the candidate’s ability to perform complex financial evaluations.
