Key Responsibilities
The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and nurturing strong relationships with clients in the chemical and lubricants industries. Representing the company at exhibitions, client meetings, and networking events is a key part of the role. The candidate will deliver engaging product presentations and sales pitches in English to effectively communicate the company’s value proposition.
Monitoring market trends and competitor activities will be essential to inform strategic decisions and support business development initiatives. Collaboration with technical and sales teams is required to create customized solutions that meet customer needs. Additionally, the role involves preparing detailed reports, proposals, and sales forecasts to track progress and support business goals. Meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets is a critical expectation for this position.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of one year of experience in B2B sales or business development within the chemical or industrial sectors is essential. Fluency in English, combined with excellent communication and presentation skills, is required to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a confident, proactive, and customer-focused approach. Willingness to travel for client meetings, presentations, and trade shows is necessary to fulfill the role’s responsibilities. Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM platforms is also required to manage sales activities and client information efficiently.
