We are currently looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Dhoraji, Bahadurabad, Karachi. This is a full-time, in-person role focused on supporting pharmacy operations to ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of medications.
Key Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Technician will play a vital role in the daily functioning of the pharmacy. Responsibilities include preparing prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all medications are counted, labeled, and packed according to the prescriptions provided. The technician will monitor medicine stock levels regularly and place orders to replenish supplies as needed, maintaining uninterrupted pharmacy operations.
Customer interaction is also an important aspect of this role. The Pharmacy Technician will assist customers by answering basic questions related to medications, providing clear and helpful information while maintaining professionalism. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area is essential to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
Strict adherence to safety protocols and patient confidentiality is mandatory at all times. The Pharmacy Technician must follow established procedures to protect patient information and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Diploma in Pharmacy Technician (Category-B) from a recognized institute. A valid registration with the appropriate Pharmacy Council is required. Applicants should have between 1 to 3 years of relevant experience working in a pharmacy setting.
A solid understanding of pharmaceutical calculations, drug names, and dosage forms is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with reading prescriptions, labeling medications, and handling drugs safely and accurately. Knowledge of inventory management and proper storage standards is essential to maintain pharmacy efficiency.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important to effectively interact with patients and team members. The ability to follow health and safety protocols and work under supervision is also required to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
