Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Data Management professional to partner closely with business units to embed and promote data standards, while driving effective data stewardship across the organization. This role is pivotal in upholding data governance practices that align with our strategic objectives, particularly within the Banking and Financial Services sector. The successful candidate will ensure data quality, compliance, and governance frameworks are consistently applied, supporting both operational and strategic business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with various business units to implement and advocate for data standards organization-wide, ensuring consistency and adherence to governance policies. Facilitate data stewardship activities by monitoring data quality and compliance, addressing any issues promptly to maintain data integrity. Engage regularly with business stakeholders to support Business-As-Usual (BAU) data processes, resolving data-related challenges and fostering a culture of accountability.
Leverage data governance tools and technologies such as Informatica Data Quality (DEQ), Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), and AXON to manage and enhance data governance initiatives. Participate actively in large-scale projects, providing critical oversight and decision-making support during production go-live phases to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
Drive the execution of the organization’s data strategy roadmap, aligning initiatives with overall business goals and ensuring continuous improvement in data governance practices. Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders through clear communication, proactive engagement, and a solution-oriented approach.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in data management within the Banking and Financial Services industry. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting & Finance, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Excellent proficiency in English, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills, is essential to effectively translate complex data concepts for non-technical audiences.
A thorough understanding of banking processes, systems, and regulatory requirements is critical. Prior experience as a Data Steward working closely with business stakeholders on BAU data processes is necessary. Hands-on expertise with data governance tools—especially Informatica DEQ, EDC, and AXON—is required to support data quality and governance initiatives.
Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of data management policies and procedures, with practical experience implementing these within data management platforms. Proven involvement in one to two large-scale projects with production go-live experience is expected, showcasing the ability to provide project oversight and make informed decisions under pressure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a self-starter mindset capable of taking initiative and maintaining robust stakeholder relationships.
