DevOps Engineer (Junior to Mid-Level)

Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and technically proficient DevOps Engineer with at least one year of practical experience, gained through internships or professional roles, in DevOps tools and methodologies. The successful candidate will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline and automate software delivery processes. This role is essential in boosting the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our infrastructure, ensuring smooth deployment and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and automate software delivery workflows. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using industry-standard tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

In addition, you will assist in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Utilizing configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform will be a key part of your role to ensure efficient environment provisioning and management.

Monitoring system health and performance is critical, and you will actively participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis to maintain system stability. Supporting infrastructure-as-code practices will help maintain consistent and scalable environments.

You will also be expected to follow and promote security and compliance best practices across all DevOps activities. Staying up-to-date with emerging DevOps tools, trends, and methodologies is essential to continuously improve our processes and infrastructure.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of one year of experience in a DevOps role or a similar position, including internships, is required.

Proficiency with core DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes is essential. Experience with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell is also necessary to automate tasks and streamline workflows.

Familiarity with major cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is expected. A solid understanding of infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform is required to support scalable and repeatable environment setups.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive work ethic are critical attributes for success in this role.

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Gulshan Iqbal, Karachi. The position offers a competitive monthly salary of up to Rs60,000.
