Job Summary

We are looking for a committed Quality Assurance professional with solid experience in the food industry to ensure packaging quality and safety standards are consistently met throughout production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing inspection processes, collaborating closely with production teams to implement timely improvements, and actively engaging in continuous improvement initiatives. This role demands maintaining data integrity, conducting training sessions, and supporting food safety and 5S practices to uphold the highest quality standards in packaging.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure packaging quality standards are maintained during all stages of production, including in-process, final, dispatch, and export inspections. You will verify critical parameters such as price, product weight, and volume throughout the production cycle to guarantee compliance with specifications.

Work closely with production supervisors, technicians, and floor leads to identify defects, machinery issues, or process inefficiencies and facilitate prompt corrective actions. Conduct daily inspections of QA assets—including data entry PCs/tablets, pack collection trolleys, weighing scales, and volumetric jars—to ensure they are properly protected and stored in designated areas.

Take an active role in process improvement initiatives and Kaizen activities aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and product quality. Provide comprehensive training to supervisors, operators, workers, and inspectors to maintain consistent quality standards across all levels of the workforce.

Support the implementation of food safety protocols, health and safety regulations, and 5S workplace organization practices within the production environment. Investigate packaging and process-related complaints in collaboration with floor leads, ensuring timely resolution.

Maintain the integrity of all QA inspection data and verify the calibration status of quality control equipment regularly. Utilize data analytics on QA inspection records to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.

Be prepared to undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by the QA department to support overall quality assurance objectives.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have proven experience in quality assurance and safety within the food industry, with a strong understanding of packaging inspection processes and quality standards. Effective collaboration skills are essential to work with production teams and lead corrective actions efficiently.

Competence in data management, calibration verification, and delivering training sessions is required. Familiarity with food safety regulations and 5S methodology is also necessary to ensure compliance and maintain a safe, organized production environment.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive monthly salary starting at Rs. 46,000. The work schedule includes an 8-hour regular shift plus 4 hours of daily overtime, with appropriate overtime compensation.
