DSV is looking for a committed professional to join our team full-time, focusing on customs clearance and shipment processing within the freight forwarding sector. This position requires close collaboration with customs authorities and regulatory agencies to ensure shipments are handled efficiently and in full compliance with relevant regulations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work well within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Review pre-alerts and shipment documentation to verify compliance with customs clearance requirements.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and prepare all necessary documentation accordingly.
- Maintain ongoing coordination with customs, Export Processing Zones Authorities (EPZA), and other regulatory bodies involved in shipment processing.
- Accurately update the Post Shipment Workflow (PSW) in accordance with customs regulations.
- Track Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), obtain quotes, and communicate with stakeholders including forwarders, carriers, custodians, and billing parties.
- Provide clients with shipment checklists, obtain their approval, and ensure timely filing and sharing of Goods Declarations (GD). In cases where Risk Management System (RMS) clearance is not granted, collaborate with operations for assessment and share the evaluated GD.
- Ensure customs duties are paid either by the client or through DSV finance under Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) terms, verifying credit status as needed.
- Monitor Out of Charge (OOC) status and coordinate shipment release accordingly.
- Issue billing instructions, confirm invoice generation, and dispatch complete document sets to consignees via courier.
- Scan post-clearance documents into the electronic document system (E-Doc).
- Manage cost and revenue postings within the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system.
- Follow up with accounts for approval and release of documents to customers.
- Courier all documents along with debit notes to customers and maintain proof of delivery (POD) records.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Between 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role within the freight forwarding industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and strong familiarity with IT systems.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
