Procurement & Sourcing Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement & Sourcing Officer to join our dynamic Supply Chain team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire procurement process, from identifying and developing reliable suppliers to negotiating favorable terms and ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. This role plays a critical part in supporting the company’s operational needs by maintaining strong supplier relationships and optimizing procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities
The Procurement & Sourcing Officer will conduct both local and international sourcing to identify suppliers who offer the best value in terms of cost, quality, and reliability. You will be responsible for issuing Requests for Quotations (RFQs), carefully analyzing supplier proposals, and negotiating contracts and pricing to secure advantageous terms for the company.

Raising purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to guarantee timely delivery of goods and services is a key part of this role. You will maintain and update supplier databases, regularly evaluate supplier performance, and ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and standards.

Collaboration with logistics and warehousing teams is essential to track inbound shipments and promptly resolve any delivery issues. Additionally, you will monitor market trends and new product developments to support strategic sourcing decisions that align with business objectives.

Accurate documentation and record-keeping of all procurement transactions will be maintained to ensure transparency and audit readiness. You will also support initiatives aimed at cost control, lead time reduction, and quality improvement.

Working closely with the finance department, you will facilitate timely payments, assist with reconciliations, and provide support for budgeting processes. Upholding company procurement policies and ethical standards throughout all sourcing activities is mandatory.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in procurement and sourcing is required, preferably within the same or a related industry.

Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills are essential to succeed in this role. Proficiency in procurement systems, particularly ERP software such as SAP or Oracle, is expected. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure is critical.

A solid understanding of local and international sourcing regulations and trade terms, including Incoterms, is necessary. Candidates should also be proficient in MS Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is considered an advantage. This is a full-time position based in Lahore, requiring in-person attendance. The role also involves travel commitments of up to 50%, reflecting the need to engage directly with suppliers and partners.
