Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our tele-fundraising team, playing a crucial role in advancing our organization’s mission. This position involves making outbound calls to potential and lapsed donors, effectively communicating our cause, and securing financial contributions that support our fundraising initiatives. Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for making outbound calls to engage both potential and lapsed donors, encouraging them to contribute financially to our organization. It is essential to clearly and passionately convey the mission of the organization and the details of specific fundraising campaigns to inspire support. Meeting or exceeding individual fundraising goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis is a core expectation.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date donor records is critical. You will track pledges and update our CRM or donor database regularly to ensure data integrity. Handling donor inquiries or concerns with professionalism, empathy, and patience is also a key part of the role, ensuring a positive experience for all supporters.
You will follow established call scripts and adhere to quality standards, while strictly complying with fundraising ethics and data privacy regulations. Active participation in training sessions and collaboration with team members and supervisors will help you continuously improve your fundraising effectiveness and contribute to the overall success of the team.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education is considered an advantage. Strong verbal communication and persuasive skills are essential for success in this role. You should be comfortable with cold calling and outbound calls, maintaining a positive and resilient demeanor even under pressure.
Experience in customer service is highly valued, particularly with strong listening skills that allow you to connect meaningfully with donors. Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM systems or donor databases are required to manage donor information efficiently.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing time effectively to meet fundraising targets. Resilience, goal orientation, and a willingness to learn and improve continuously are important traits for this position.
Additional Information
This is a full-time contract position lasting 12 months. The role requires in-person attendance at the designated work location, providing an opportunity to engage directly with a supportive team environment.
