We are seeking a skilled and motivated QA Manager to lead our expanding Quality Assurance team based in Karachi. This leadership role will oversee the technical delivery and development of QA efforts, ensuring high-quality standards across division projects and product releases. The QA Manager will collaborate closely with development, product, and project management teams, playing a pivotal role within the division’s R&D function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the QA team responsible for division projects and software releases, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Define, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, and processes aligned with business goals.
- Oversee both manual and automated testing activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate QA seamlessly into development cycles and workflows.
- Review pull requests related to test automation code, providing constructive feedback to maintain code quality and adherence to standards.
- Establish and enforce best practices and coding standards within the automation framework.
- Monitor, analyze, and report QA metrics, risks, and test outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
- Foster team growth through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement within the QA team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Proven expertise in manual and automated testing environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in reviewing and contributing to test automation codebases, ensuring quality and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with API automation tools such as RestAssured and Postman.
- Expertise in UI automation frameworks including Selenium and Playwright.
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber using Java and Gherkin syntax.
- Skilled in test planning, test case design, defect management, and backend testing using SQL.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, version control systems (Git), and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
