Junior Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities
Assist the Financial Analyst in examining financial data and trends to offer insights into the division’s overall financial health. Support the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and projections that facilitate informed decision-making. Conduct variance analysis to highlight areas for improvement and enhance operational efficiency. Participate actively in budgeting and financial planning activities at the Head Office. Collaborate with various business units and departments to collect relevant financial data and insights. Contribute to ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as needed. Develop dashboards and reports, including presentations for monthly and quarterly financial results and management reviews. Analyze and report on monthly results, leading indicators, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assist forecasting efforts. Assist in evaluating the financial packages of business units and support management during financial certification processes. Support month-end close activities, flux reviews, and the preparation of financial reports.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or a finalist/completed professional accounting qualification is essential. Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records is required. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines independently are necessary. The role demands efficient multitasking abilities and a goal-oriented work approach. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel and strong quantitative financial skills are expected. Excellent oral and written communication skills are important. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is critical for success in this role.
