Junior PHP Developer

We are looking for a highly resourceful and innovative developer with extensive experience in PHP Laravel to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in web application development using PHP and MySQL Server databases. This role involves building and maintaining advanced web-based applications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and contributing to both backend and frontend development. The successful applicant will play a key role in delivering cutting-edge solutions while supporting business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, document, and maintain sophisticated web-based PHP applications on portal and premium service platforms. Collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team to build innovative, state-of-the-art applications that meet user needs. Ensure consistency and validity of HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript across all projects to maintain high-quality front-end standards. Utilize standard development tools and best practices to prepare and maintain applications effectively.

Leverage backend data services and contribute to the enhancement of existing data service APIs. Coordinate closely with co-developers and keep project managers updated on development progress, acting as a liaison between the development team and management. Perform a mix of maintenance, enhancements, and new development tasks as required to support evolving business needs.

Support business intelligence applications by working in a data analyst capacity when needed. Thoroughly document features, technical specifications, and infrastructure to ensure clarity and maintainability. Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business requirements into precise technical specifications. Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using appropriate programming languages.

Test and deploy applications and systems to guarantee quality and optimal performance. Manage and develop teams across multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to coding standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in Laravel and WordPress development is essential. A strong understanding of PHP back-end development and familiarity with related web frameworks such as WordPress, CodeIgniter, and Laravel is required. Experience in building user interfaces for websites and web applications is necessary, along with skills in designing and developing responsive websites.

Proficiency with source control tools such as Git, Jira, and Bitbucket is expected. Excellent programming skills in web and software technologies are a must to succeed in this role.
