PHP / Web Developer

As a PHP Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using PHP frameworks. You will integrate and work with various third-party travel APIs such as booking systems, flight/hotel APIs, and payment solutions. Your work will contribute directly to our travel platform, helping our users book and plan their trips efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain web applications using modern PHP frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
Integrate and manage third-party travel APIs (e.g., Amadeus, Skyscanner, Travelport, Sabre, etc.).
Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth integration of back-end services and APIs.
Design and implement secure, efficient, and scalable database structures to support travel-related data.
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the application.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, best practices, and trends in the web development and travel industry.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a PHP developer with expertise in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
Experience with third-party travel API integrations (e.g., Amadeus, Skyscanner, Travelport, Sabre, etc.).
Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, OAuth, JWT, and other authentication methods.
Solid understanding of database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Experience with Git for version control and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, DigitalOcean) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working in the travel industry or with travel-related platforms.
Knowledge of payment gateway integrations (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
