Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Control Oversight:
    • Lead and manage the quality control team to ensure adherence to high-quality standards across pharmaceutical, agriculture, and dairy products.
    • Develop and implement QC procedures and systems to monitor the quality of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
    • Ensure that quality testing processes are performed according to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  2. Compliance and Regulatory Management:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., FDA, EMA, USDA, APEDA) and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in industry regulations.
    • Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
    • Manage and maintain documentation for product testing, batch records, and certification processes to ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GxP (Good Agricultural Practices), and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
  3. Product Testing and Analysis:
    • Supervise and manage the analysis of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods through physical, chemical, microbiological, and sensory testing.
    • Establish and validate test methods and procedures for new and existing products.
    • Oversee the preparation and approval of product specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  4. Training and Development:
    • Provide continuous training to QC staff on new testing methods, equipment, and quality procedures.
    • Mentor and guide team members to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.
    • Conduct internal audits to assess and improve QC processes and product quality.
  5. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
    • Investigate and resolve quality issues related to raw materials, production processes, and finished goods.
    • Work closely with the production, R&D, and supply chain teams to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for any quality-related issues.
    • Support root cause analysis for deviations, complaints, or non-conformances, and help implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  6. Data Management and Reporting:
    • Monitor and analyze quality metrics and prepare regular reports for management, including product quality trends, non-conformance reports, and investigation outcomes.
    • Ensure accurate record-keeping and data management in compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
  7. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, production, supply chain, marketing) to ensure quality specifications are met throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and packaging materials.
  8. Product Improvement and Innovation:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve QC methods to enhance product quality and efficiency.
    • Participate in product development processes to ensure that new products meet quality standards from the initial concept through to final production.
