The purpose of this position is to spearhead the enhancement of child protection practices through a systematic approach. The role involves producing a comprehensive Inception report, analyzing existing materials globally and locally, and assessing key Child Protection (CP) practitioners' understanding of prevention. The position is responsible for developing a robust training package, engaging in stakeholder consultations, and finalizing the package based on feedback. Additionally, the incumbent will present the draft package to a technical working group for approval, incorporating their feedback for further development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Produce a comprehensive Inception report on existing materials at local and global level including analytical assessment of the key CP practitioners on their understanding on the prevention.
  2. Development of the content of the training package and consultation with key stakeholders, to finalize the package
  3. Presentation of the Draft package to the technical working group for approval and Incorporation of the feedback and development of the training materials
  4. Conduct training for approximately 25 professionals in each 7 project districts, assessment of learning outcomes. Include pre-and post-training questionnaires and prepare the training report

Requirements:

Qualification

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or above) in Social Science and Communications Studies or a Related Technical Field
  • A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree

Work experience

  • A minmum of 08 years of relevant professional experience in developing and implementing similar programs, preferably in the areas of child rights policy, child Protection Prevention and adolescent.

Skills:

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience in developing high-quality communications materials in both English and Urdu languages.
  • Strong facilitation and training skills, with experience in conducting trainings on child protection issues in Pakistan
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating social communications campaigns in Pakistan
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Pakistani especially Punjab child protection issues and challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality documents, reports and training materials.
  • Demonstrated experience of working collaboratively with government institutions, CSOs and international development agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in research design and development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu is required.  Knowledge of a local language is an asset.
