The Training and Capacity Building Lead is a pivotal role responsible for designing, delivering, and managing impactful training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of ICIMS staff and stakeholders. The position focuses on creating high-quality, innovative training content using the latest tools and techniques while ensuring the continuous improvement of capacity-building initiatives to align with organizational goals and programmatic needs. The lead also supports the professional development of team members and fosters a culture of learning and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Design and Implementation:
- Develop comprehensive training calendars and programs tailored to the needs of ICIMS staff and stakeholders.
- Plan and deliver interactive training sessions, workshops, and presentations to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
- Utilize the latest tools and methodologies to make training sessions engaging, impactful, and aligned with program goals.
Content Development and Innovation:
- Design and produce professional training materials, including manuals, videos, e-learning modules, and presentations using advanced tools.
- Continuously update and refine training content to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with program objectives.
- Incorporate modern instructional design principles to create visually appealing and interactive content.
Capacity Building and Support:
- Assess training needs and address skill gaps through customized training resources and coaching sessions.
- Organize and manage workshops, seminars, and field visits to build the capacity of staff and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge repository and resource center to support training and program activities.
Training Evaluation and Reporting:
- Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback mechanisms and refine content and delivery as needed.
- Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories to inform future program improvements.
- Prepare evidence-based reports and analyses to support program reviews and decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality and impactful training initiatives.
- Represent the program at forums and share insights to advocate for continuous learning and improvement.
Program Development and Research:
- Conduct assessments to identify training gaps and develop innovative solutions to address program needs.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure accessibility of evidence and data to support planning and decision-making.
Education and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (16 years of education) in Mass Communication, Social Sciences, or related fields with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
Training Expertise: Strong experience in designing and evaluating training programs, with expertise in adult learning methodologies.
Content Development: Proficiency in creating training content using modern tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar graphic design and instructional tools.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, project management tools, and e-learning platforms.
Presentation Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills to engage diverse audiences.
Organizational Skills: Strong leadership and coordination abilities to manage complex training initiatives.
Research and Innovation: Ability to conduct training needs assessments and develop innovative materials tailored to programmatic requirements.
