SCOPE OF SERVICES
The PSM Assistant is expected and required to:
- Understanding of procurement processes and procedures is essential. This includes knowledge of requisitioning, sourcing, bidding, vendor selection, purchase order creation, and contract management.
- Provide support in the procurement process including preparation of RFQs and receipt of quotations. Prepare work orders, receive items and create GRNs
- Maintaining supplier relationships, communicating requirements, obtaining quotes, and managing deliveries. Coordination with vendors on supplies and payments etc.
- Documentation, record-Keeping and maintaining accurate procurement records. This includes managing supplier documentation, contracts, purchase orders, and invoices in a systematic and organized manner.
- Understanding of pipeline monitoring, shipment receipt, inspection, space management, issuance and advance inventory and distribution management procedures.
- The ability to identify and resolve procurement-related issues. This includes addressing delivery delays, quality concerns, or other unexpected challenges that may arise during the procurement process.
- Basic analytical skills are helpful for reviewing and comparing supplier quotes, conducting basic price analysis, and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Ability to prepare reports using MS. Office Packages and PowerPoint; and preparation of SOPs.
