(i) Provide technical advice and support to Team Leader, experts, and project staff, in developing, leading, monitoring and evaluating technical aspects in the area of WASH.
(ii) Coordinate and establish strong networking with PRMSC, the World Bank, tehsil administration, relevant Metropolitan/Municipal Corporations, Village Councils/organizations, and local communities, providing capacity building for project beneficiaries, raising awareness, championing best practice in the BCC program and contributing to the overall management of the WASH objectives.
(iii) Provide technical advice to Tehsil Managers, Social Mobilisers, and other field staff on potential involvement in new WASH interventions and internal WASH capacity for implementation.
(iv) Define appropriate policies, guidelines and protocols for the WASH aspects of BCC program in line with the World Bank guidelines and relevant government rules and regulations.
(v) Carry out regular monitoring visits in conjunction with other field managers, ensuring that project objectives are met within the stated time-frames and with recognised WASH standards.
(vi) Maintain an oversight of WASH supplies ordered for the WASH projects, supporting the WASH and logistics staff in the coordination and quality control of WASH supplies.
(vii) Be involved in the recruitment of WASH staff for the country program, providing advice on technical skills.
(viii) Ensure that all the field staff are adequately trained on WASH practices and create possibilities for capacity building, mentoring and coaching, for the project staff and beneficiaries.
(ix) Liaise with Training and Capacity Building team in planning and developing training material related to WASH.
(x) Liaise with Communication team in planning and developing communication, promotional, and awareness raising material and literature in the area of WASH.
(xi) Make regular field visits to the target tehsils/villages to assess and provide feedback and recommendations on the quality of WASH interventions.
