Network Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in network design, cloud and on-premises infrastructure setup, and automation. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of hands-on expertise in network design, domain operations, server installation and patching, virtualization platforms, container orchestration, and cloud environments. This role is critical for maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure to ensure seamless business operations, support future scalability, and drive automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable network infrastructures that include both on-premises and cloud-based solutions. Set up, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers across Linux and Windows environments. Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and container orchestration tools including Kubernetes and Docker. Deploy and maintain cloud resources primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with AWS as an alternative, ensuring high availability and security. Administer databases including MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, and PostgreSQL. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform to improve efficiency and consistency. Monitor system performance with Grafana and implement logging and alerting mechanisms. Develop and maintain shell scripts and cron jobs to automate routine tasks. Collaborate closely with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with best practices and maintain optimal performance and uptime. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues promptly to minimize disruptions. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Support cloud integration efforts and contribute to managing hybrid environments. Stay current with emerging technologies and actively participate in process improvements and best practices.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of five years’ experience in network operations, infrastructure engineering, or a related field is essential. Proficiency in network design, domain configuration, operations, and troubleshooting is required. Experience with Linux and Windows server administration, including installation, patching, and maintenance, is necessary. Hands-on expertise with VMware ESXi, Kubernetes, and Docker is expected. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure is important. Experience administering databases like MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, and PostgreSQL is required. Skilled in infrastructure automation using Terraform and knowledgeable in monitoring tools such as Grafana. Strong shell scripting and cron job management capabilities are also essential.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Certifications in networking such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are highly desirable. Cloud certifications from AWS, Azure, or GCP are a plus. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Networks and Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are important. Candidates should demonstrate high attention to detail and a commitment to quality. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, along with effective time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, will contribute to success in this role.
