We are looking for an Import Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of import operations within the organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in import management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Foreign sourcing: Identify and develop new sources of supply, negotiate prices and terms, and manage relationships with foreign suppliers.

LC opening and retirement: Manage the opening and retirement of letters of credit (LCs), ensure compliance with LC terms and conditions, and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.

Import documentation: Prepare and manage import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.

Customs clearance: Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure smooth clearance of imports, including payment of duties and taxes.

Supply chain management: Manage the import supply chain, including tracking shipments, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Compliance and risk management: Ensure compliance with import regulations, including customs laws and regulations, and manage risks associated with imports.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in import management, preferably in a manufacturing company.

Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Certifications: Professional certifications in import management, such as Certified Import Manager (CIM), are desirable.

Special expertise: Special expertise in foreign sourcing and LC opening and retirement processes is required.
