• Oversee the overall implementation of the nutrition components in all areas of operation under the direct supervision of the Nutritionist and/or PMC.
  • Oversee the overall management of acute malnutrition and provide technical guidance and training to the health team as well as ensure protocols are being adhered to and the SFPs and OTP’s are operating within quality indicators;
  • Support the Camp Nutritionist in preparation of weekly and monthly Screening, SFP, and OTP reports.
  • Follow up on the Preparation and submission of the timely Supply Request for supplies (UNIMIX/FBF, Plumpynuts, and other relevant items) with the donor in consultation with the district and provincial Nutrition Coordinator to ensure smooth implementation of CMAM activities
  • Travel as required to areas of operation to supervise, build capacity, and provide technical guidance to the Community level staffing (Social Mobilizers) and Facility staffing (LHVs & Health Promoters) for the direct implementation of the nutrition interventions;
  • Liaise closely with the District & Provincial Project Coordinator and PMC, to ensure an integrated nutrition approach across sectors as well as coordination between PHC & Nutrition;
  • Where needed, oversee the piloted community nutrition approach and in close collaboration with the district Project Coordinator & district Nutrition Coordinator, Field Medical Staff implement strategies in line with the changing environment to ensure their effectiveness in improving child's nutritional status;
  • In close collaboration with the field nutrition team, the district Project Coordinator and District Nutrition Coordinator/Camp Nutritionist provide inputs into nutrition programme planning, proposal writing, and reporting as required.
  • Coordinate with MoH representatives and Represent the organization at district nutrition coordination meetings in the absence of the District nutrition coordinator.
