- Coordinate end-to-end import processes including vendor communication, order placement, shipment tracking, and delivery scheduling.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, clearing agents, customs authorities, and internal departments to ensure timely clearance and delivery of imported goods.
- Prepare and verify import documentation such as L/Cs, invoices, packing lists, bill of lading, COO, etc.
- Monitor and manage import duties, taxes, and tariff structures to ensure cost optimization.
- Ensure strict compliance with import regulations, SROs, and documentation requirements under Pakistan Customs and international trade laws.
- Manage and update records of all import transactions in ERP/SAP systems.
- Track and report import KPIs (lead time, cost, vendor performance).
- Collaborate with the finance department for payment processing and bank documentation.
- Provide support in vendor evaluation and negotiation for best terms and delivery schedules.
- Keep updated on changes in import/export policies and advise management accordingly.
