A Recruitment Assistant is responsible for supporting the recruitment team by managing administrative tasks related to the hiring process, including posting job ads, sourcing and screening resumes, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communication, maintaining recruitment databases, and assisting with onboarding procedures. This role acts as a key administrative support function to streamline the recruitment workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Posting and Sourcing:

  • Creating and posting job adverts on various platforms.
  • Utilizing job boards and other recruitment channels to identify potential candidates.
  • Managing applicant tracking systems (ATS) to maintain candidate data.

Candidate Screening:

  • Reviewing resumes and cover letters to identify qualified candidates based on job requirements.
  • Conducting initial phone screenings to assess candidate fit and qualifications.

Interview Coordination:

  • Scheduling interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Sending interview confirmations and reminders to candidates.
  • Preparing interview materials and briefing interviewers on candidate profiles.

Candidate Communication:

  • Responding to candidate inquiries and providing updates on the recruitment process.
  • Sending rejection notifications to unsuccessful candidates.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintaining recruitment databases and tracking candidate progress.
  • Generating reports on recruitment metrics and activity.
  • Assisting with onboarding paperwork and new hire introductions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in candidate information and recruitment processes.
  • Basic understanding of recruitment best practices and employment laws.
