The manager will be responsible for developing policies to ensure compliance with medical device regulations and will serve as a point of contact for all technical and regulatory inquiries. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage team of biomedical engineers and technicians, providing direction, support, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment to ensure safety and functionality at all times.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the biomedical engineering department in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage projects related to the acquisition, testing, and deployment of medical devices, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate medical device regulations and quality assurance practices, including validation and verification.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for team members on compliance, safety, and operational protocols to enhance their professional development.
  • Serve as a liaison between the engineering team and clinical staff to ensure that the biomedical equipment meets their needs and functions optimally.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to keep the department's practices current.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints related to biomedical equipment, collaborating with other departments to enhance overall service quality.
  • Prepare and present reports on departmental performance, equipment status, and compliance to senior management.
