We are seeking a Procurement Manager to join our team on a full-time, fully remote basis. The ideal candidate is experienced in sourcing, comparing, and ordering products online, particularly for residential maintenance needs. You will play a key role in managing our purchasing process, ensuring that materials and supplies are obtained efficiently, cost-effectively, and with high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Sourcing: Search, identify, and compare residential maintenance products (e.g., plumbing parts, electrical components, HVAC supplies, paint, hardware) from reputable online suppliers.
Price Comparison: Analyze prices, quality, shipping terms, and supplier reliability to ensure the best value.
Order Management: Place orders directly with approved vendors, track deliveries, and confirm receipt of goods.
Excel Reporting: Create and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets listing items, specifications, pricing, vendor details, and order status.
Vendor Communication: Liaise with suppliers regarding quotes, availability, lead times, and any issues.
Inventory Monitoring: Track inventory levels (where applicable) and recommend timely reorders.
Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of all procurement activities, receipts, and order confirmations.
Cost Savings: Proactively seek opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality.
Qualifications:
2+ years of proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing, preferably in residential maintenance or construction industries.
Strong knowledge of residential maintenance products and materials (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, hardware, etc.).
Proficiency in using Excel for creating and managing spreadsheets.
Skilled at online research, vendor comparisons, and e-commerce platforms (Amazon Business, Home Depot, Lowe’s, specialty suppliers, etc.).
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with procurement software/tools is a plus (but not required).
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of residential repair and maintenance supplies and brands.
Familiarity with order tracking and basic project management tools.
Ability to negotiate with vendors when necessary.
