We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Brands & Digital Media Strategy to lead and innovate the marketing and communications strategies for Roots School System. This role will involve overseeing brand development, digital media strategies, and integrated campaigns to enhance the school’s visibility, reputation, and engagement with current and prospective students, parents, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Brand Development & Strategy:
    • Develop and execute the brand strategy, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission, values, and educational philosophy.
    • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and identity across all platforms.
    • Maintain brand consistency across digital and traditional channels.
    • Drive brand awareness and loyalty through innovative campaigns and initiatives.
  2. Digital Media Strategy:
    • Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive digital media strategy across social media, websites, email marketing, and other online platforms.
    • Analyze digital trends, competitors, and audience behavior to adapt and enhance digital strategies.
    • Create and manage digital content that resonates with targeted audiences, including prospective students, parents, and educators.
  3. Campaign Management:
    • Plan, implement, and measure integrated marketing campaigns that promote the school’s educational offerings, events, and initiatives.
    • Work with internal teams to develop creative content for social media, blogs, videos, and other digital marketing collateral.
    • Ensure campaigns align with broader institutional goals, ensuring optimal resource allocation and effectiveness.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including school leadership, faculty, and administrative teams.
    • Collaborate with external agencies, influencers, and media outlets to drive brand initiatives.
    • Represent the school in digital communications with parents, students, alumni, and other stakeholders.
  5. Performance & Analytics:
    • Track and measure the success of campaigns using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) and provide regular reports.
    • Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for digital channels and adjust strategies to ensure maximum ROI.
    • Continuously optimize campaigns based on data-driven insights and feedback.
  6. Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Manage and mentor a team of digital marketing professionals and designers.
    • Work closely with the admissions, events, and PR teams to align efforts and enhance brand perception.
    • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in brand management, digital media strategy, or marketing, with a proven track record in a leadership role (preferably in education or similar sectors).

Skills:

  • Strong expertise in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
  • Deep knowledge of SEO, SEM, social media advertising, Google Analytics, and other digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform decisions.
  • Creative thinking with an understanding of how to engage with a diverse audience, including students, parents, and staff.
