Key Responsibilities:

Hospital Management & Leadership

  • Strategically lead hospital operations, ensuring clinical excellence, efficient workflows, and service optimization.
  • Develop and refine staffing models that balance quality care and cost-effectiveness.
  • Strengthen hospital governance frameworks, ensuring streamlined administration and adherence to best practices.

Healthcare Quality & Service Improvement

  • Lead performance improvement initiatives, focusing on patient safety, service efficiency, and experience enhancement.
  • Oversee implementation of healthcare accreditation standards and quality assurance protocols.
  • Establish a culture of continuous quality improvement, optimizing hospital-wide clinical outcomes.

Evidence Based Decision Making

  • Utilize hospital information systems for data collection, monitoring, and reporting accuracy.
  • Apply data-driven performance metrics to enhance hospital efficiency and service optimization.
  • Drive evidence-based decision-making in healthcare policies and hospital management strategies.

Strategic Planning & Policy Implementation

  • Lead the integration of healthcare policies into hospital operations and service models.
  • Ensure strategic planning aligns with national and provincial health policy and hospital accreditation standards.

Emergency Preparedness & Outbreak Management

  • Develop and implement a hospital preparedness plan, ensuring readiness for health crises and public health emergencies.
  • Establish early warning systems for outbreak detection and rapid containment.
  • Ensure the hospital has robust contingency protocols to maintain service continuity in crisis situations.

Healthcare Supply Chain

  • Oversee medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and consumable supply chain logistics, ensuring availability.
  • Strengthen hospital inventory management systems for smooth operations.

Finance & Budgeting

  • Ensure efficient financial planning, incorporating cost optimization and revenue management.
  • Oversee budget allocation and expenditure control, ensuring resources are fully optimized.

Training & Capacity Building

  • Design and lead formal and informal mentorship programs for hospital staff development.
  • Conduct technical training and capacity-building initiatives to ensure high standards of hospital services.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth for healthcare teams.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring effective collaboration and seamless communication within hospital operations.
  • Facilitate high-level stakeholder discussions, aligning healthcare policies and service development.
  • Represent organization at national and provincial healthcare forums, advocating for policy advancements and hospital improvements.
  • 5+ years of senior hospital management experience, preferably in seondary/tertiary care.
