Senior IBM BAW Developer / Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior IBM BAW Developer / Lead with a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive Business Process Applications using IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in IBM FileNet P8, IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) Rules Engine, Heritage Coach Views, Coach Views, External Service Integration, and Java/JEE-based APIs. This role requires building robust BAW process applications aligned with business needs while providing technical leadership and guidance within the development team.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Business Process Applications and Solutions leveraging IBM BAW and FileNet technologies. Implement and integrate IBM ODM to facilitate effective decision management. Develop, maintain, and optimize business processes and workflows to improve operational efficiency. Customize and create Coach Views and Heritage Coach Views tailored to specific business requirements. Manage migration and transformation of BPM Process Applications, including live process instances, from legacy or older IBM BAW versions. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver customized solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, encouraging skill growth and knowledge sharing. Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure high-quality application performance. Adhere to best practices, coding standards, and software engineering principles throughout the development lifecycle. Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. Apply scientific methods to analyze and resolve complex software engineering challenges, exercising original thought and judgment. Supervise and coordinate the technical and administrative work of other software engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in IBM BAW development is essential. Proficiency in Java, JEE, and Web Services (both REST and SOAP) is required. Strong expertise with IBM FileNet, IBM BAW, IBM CMIS, and IBM ODM is necessary. Proven ability to develop and customize Coach Views and Heritage Coach Views effectively. Skilled in simplifying BPM workflows involving complex algorithms and troubleshooting high-latency transactions. Solid understanding of business user-centered design principles and best practices. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills are critical. Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with IBM Content Navigator, including developing plugins and BAW widgets, is highly desirable. Knowledge of various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies is beneficial. Certifications in IBM BAW or related technologies will be considered an advantage.
