We are looking for a talented professional with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing data solutions using the Microsoft Fabric platform. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in data modeling, pipeline development, and Power BI visualization. This role requires integrating data engineering, data science, real-time analytics, and business intelligence within a unified SaaS environment. Practical knowledge of OneLake, Lakehouses, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks is crucial to delivering modern, scalable data solutions effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop advanced data solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, and Power BI. Ingest and transform data from diverse sources into OneLake to maintain centralized, governed data storage. Create and manage Dataflows Gen2 and pipelines for ELT/ETL processes using Fabric’s native tools. Build semantic data models and develop Power BI reports based on Fabric datasets to enable actionable business insights. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions leveraging Fabric’s unified architecture. Work across various Fabric workloads, including Data Factory, Data Engineering (Spark), and Data Science environments. Optimize solution performance, ensure data quality, and enforce security and compliance standards. Stay updated on the Microsoft Fabric roadmap and emerging features to continuously improve data capabilities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) or a related discipline. Five to eight years of professional experience in data engineering or business intelligence development. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or its preview environments. Strong understanding of Lakehouse architecture and OneLake data storage. Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling techniques. Experience working with Apache Spark notebooks using PySpark or Scala. Familiarity with SQL-based data warehousing concepts within the Fabric ecosystem. Knowledge of data governance principles, data lineage, and role-based access control mechanisms.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or Power BI Service is advantageous. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub for automated deployment is a plus. Exposure to machine learning workloads and data science tools within the Microsoft Fabric platform is desirable.
