Service Technician

Nordex Group, a global leader in wind turbine manufacturing, is looking for a skilled Service Technician to join our field operations team in Jhampir, Pakistan. This role focuses on hands-on maintenance and repair of wind turbines, playing a vital part in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our service operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine repairs, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis on wind turbines independently. Carry out complex repair tasks in coordination with relevant stakeholders. Conduct planned maintenance and inspection activities alongside subcontractors. Prepare detailed reports and checklists to keep the Team Lead and Local Operations Manager informed about work progress. Communicate effectively with customers regarding maintenance and repair activities. Repair or replace major turbine components as required. Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure all materials in the field are properly accounted for. Ensure all assigned tasks are completed with high quality and within scheduled timelines. Take responsibility for Nordex’s materials, tools, and equipment while working in the field. Strictly adhere to Nordex’s operational guidelines and regulations. Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for personnel and equipment.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Proven technician expertise in both electrical and mechanical disciplines. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a related technical role. Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to quickly understand issues and make informed decisions. Solution-oriented mindset combined with effective communication skills for teamwork. Basic knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, with a willingness to enhance expertise in this area.
