Shangrila Foods (Pvt) Ltd., a leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods brand with a solid nationwide presence, is seeking a motivated Modern Trade Executive to join its dynamic sales team. This role focuses on driving sales growth and enhancing brand visibility within leading modern trade outlets, including Large Modern Trade, Large General Stores, and TER. The ideal candidate brings at least two years of relevant experience in sales within the Food and Beverages industry, combined with strong skills in sales strategy, retail management, and customer relationship management. The Modern Trade Executive will play a key role in implementing trade marketing initiatives, negotiating with retail partners, and managing merchandising to maximize sales and distribution coverage. The role requires an energetic and passionate professional who possesses excellent communication and selling skills, is proficient with inventory management systems, and has the ability to analyze sales data to make informed decisions. Although this position does not include managing a team, the candidate is expected to work effectively with internal stakeholders to achieve sales targets and contribute to the companys growth objectives.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to modern trade channels to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key retailers, distributors, and trade partners including LMT, LGS, and traditional trade outlets.
  • Execute merchandising plans to optimize product placement, ensure attractive displays, and increase brand visibility within stores.
  • Monitor inventory levels using inventory management systems to ensure consistent stock availability and minimize out-of-stock scenarios.
  • Negotiate trade agreements, pricing, and promotional offers with retail partners to maximize profitability and market share.
  • Conduct regular market visits to modern trade outlets to assess competitor activity, gather market intelligence, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and implement trade marketing campaigns and in-store promotional activities that drive consumer engagement.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics regularly to evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Report sales progress and market feedback to management, providing actionable insights to optimize future sales efforts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Food and Beverages industry trends, market developments, and trade policies impacting the retail sector.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery and resolve any distribution challenges.
  • Continuously enhance customer relationship management practices to build long-term partnerships and customer loyalty.
  • Participate in training programs and professional development activities to stay current with sales techniques, product knowledge, and industry best practices.
