The Trainee Planner Roc plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive planning services within the South Asia Pakistan Terminal (SAPT). This entry-level position involves a deep understanding of logistics and terminal operations to facilitate effective stowage, yard, and berth planning, while also managing essential documentation. As a Trainee Planner, you will work closely with various Business Units (BUs) to ensure integration and control in vessel planning services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, alongside a keen attention to detail and strong communication abilities. While this role does not involve managing a team, it offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and build valuable relationships both internally and externally, with partners such as yard and ship planners from other terminals.
Responsibilities

  • Assist in the stowage planning process to optimize cargo placement and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support the yard and berth planning tasks to ensure smooth terminal operations and timely vessel turnaround.
  • Handle documentation related to planning activities, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide centralized control and integrated planning services to Group Business Units, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand the principles of logistics and terminal operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams and external parties to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Utilize analytical reasoning skills to solve planning-related challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills by prioritizing tasks effectively and meeting deadlines.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in planning processes and terminal operations.
  • Contribute to team meetings and discussions, providing insights and suggestions for improving planning services.
