The Business Finance Analyst will play a crucial role within the Finance team by supporting stakeholders through spend management, insightful reporting, and strategic financial planning. This position involves budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and assisting with month-end closing activities, offering significant opportunities for professional growth and regional impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain annual, quarterly, and monthly budgets and forecasts to support business objectives.
- Act as the primary contact for cost optimization initiatives, contributing actively to strategic financial planning efforts.
- Develop and implement measures to control expenditures within allocated budgets across various departments and functions.
- Create and maintain systems and dashboards that enhance visibility and control over financial spending, aiding stakeholders in informed decision-making.
- Identify and communicate discrepancies or anomalies in spend tracking to Business Leaders and the FP&A function promptly.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to refine financial systems and processes, ensuring they align with evolving business needs and priorities.
- Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely month-end book closure and financial reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning within dynamic environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to gathering data and generating actionable insights.
- Excellent quantitative abilities and a proven capacity to solve complex financial challenges.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on, ownership-driven mindset.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerBI, Redash, and SQL to support data analysis and reporting needs.
