Farm Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Farm Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our organic farm operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for organic farming, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities

Farm Operations Management:
- Plan and oversee the cultivation, planting, and harvesting of vegetables.
- Manage soil health, irrigation systems, pest control, and crop rotation for optimal yields.
- Ensure adherence to organic farming practices and compliance with relevant certifications.
Team Supervision:
- Recruit, train, and manage farm workers and seasonal labor.
- Assign tasks and monitor productivity to achieve farm goals.
Resource Management:
- Maintain and operate farm equipment efficiently.
- Monitor and manage inventory of seeds, fertilizers, tools, and supplies.
Financial Oversight:
- Budget management and cost control for farm operations.
- Record and report on crop yields, sales, and expenses.
Marketing Support:
- Collaborate in planning and executing sales at farmers' markets.
- Assist in branding efforts by ensuring top-quality produce is delivered.
Sustainability Initiatives:
- Innovate and implement sustainable farming practices.
- Stay updated on organic farming trends and integrate improvements into farm practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience in farm management, preferably in organic farming.
Strong understanding of soil health, crop management, and organic certifications.
Knowledge of irrigation systems, pest control, and sustainable farming techniques.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Budgeting and record-keeping proficiency.
Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions.
A degree in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
