You will be responsible for managing the financial health of Unicorn Logistics. This includes overseeing reconciliation processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial account management and be proficient in using Xero software.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Reconciliation:

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Budgeting and Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide detailed financial reports to management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and other statutory filings as required.

Xero Software Management:

  • Utilize Xero software for financial reporting, bookkeeping, and account management tasks.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data within the Xero system.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for financial management and reporting.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and other financial professionals as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial account management, including reconciliation and reporting.
  • Proven experience using Xero software is essential.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) are a plus.
