Plant / Production Manager

You will be responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations, ensuring that injection moulding processes are carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with quality standards. The role includes managing production schedules, optimizing operations, maintaining equipment, and leading the production team to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Monitor production output and adjust plans as necessary to ensure timely delivery.
- Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, machines, and materials.
Injection Moulding Process Management:
- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of injection moulding machines.
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to improve product quality and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and train production staff, including operators and technicians.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure defect-free production.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve quality issues.
- Maintain proper documentation for all production processes and quality checks.
Cost & Efficiency Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, lower production costs, and improve efficiency.
- Monitor and control budgets for production and maintenance activities.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and other operational improvement methodologies.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety training programs.
- Promote environmentally sustainable practices in production processes.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address equipment failures promptly.
- Recommend and implement upgrades to machinery and technology.
Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare and present production reports to senior management.
- Maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and logistics.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in injection moulding technologies.
