We are looking for a talented and motivated Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating accessible, high-quality eBooks using modern web technologies. You will be responsible for developing eBooks in EPUB 3 format, ensuring accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1), and using XML-based technologies to create well-structured and optimized eBooks.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and format eBooks using HTML, CSS, and EPUB 3 standards. Ensure all eBooks meet W3C WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines for inclusive reading experiences.
Work with XML files to structure and organize eBook content.
Collaborate with design and content teams to create visually engaging and functional eBooks.
Perform thorough testing across different eBook readers and platforms for compatibility and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to eBook formatting, accessibility, and functionality.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in HTML and CSS for eBook design and development.
Strong understanding of EPUB 3 format and structure.
Knowledge of XML and its application in eBook development.
Experience creating WCAG 2.1 compliant accessible eBooks.
Familiarity with eBook testing tools and platforms for compatibility checks.
Attention to detail and a strong focus on delivering high-quality products.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with eBook development tools (e.g., Sigil, Adobe InDesign, Calibre).
Familiarity with metadata and its importance in eBook publishing.
Understanding of responsive design techniques for various screen sizes.

Note: This is a Freelance remote position. However, in-house presence is required for an initial 7 to 14 days-day training period.
