WordPress & Shopify Developer

Infinitum Media™ is looking for a talented WordPress & Shopify Developer to join our team based in Lahore, Karachi, or Islamabad. This full-time role offers flexibility with both onsite and remote work options. As part of a growing staff augmentation company headquartered in Spokane, Washington, we specialize in connecting skilled IT professionals from Pakistan with clients across North America, the UK, and Europe. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining engaging e-commerce and web solutions that enhance the online presence of international clients. Your tasks will include creating custom themes, plugins, and integrations, as well as optimizing existing platforms to ensure excellent performance and visual appeal.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes, plugins, and custom post types, alongside Shopify stores through theme development, Liquid programming, and app integrations.
- Write clean, well-structured code using PHP, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Implement responsive designs to deliver an optimal user experience across all devices.
- Optimize website performance focusing on speed, SEO, and usability on both WordPress and Shopify platforms.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend website functionality.
- Debug and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions for client projects.
- Manage website migrations, updates, and backups to ensure stability and security.
- Collaborate closely with designers and project managers to translate client requirements into technical specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in WordPress, Shopify, and e-commerce development.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core functionalities.
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer with expertise in Liquid, Shopify APIs, and theme customization.
- Solid proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience in custom theme and plugin development for WordPress.
- Experience with Shopify theme customization and app integration.
- Good understanding of web standards, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
