Job Summary
Telenor Shared Services Pakistan is looking for a motivated Trainee Officer to join the Finance & Accounting team within the Order to Cash (O2C) unit, based in Islamabad. This full-time, fixed-term role offers a valuable opportunity to develop professional skills in a diverse and inclusive workplace. The position primarily supports accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment collection, and month-end closing activities. Key Responsibilities
The Trainee Officer will be responsible for processing and booking customer invoices accurately using Oracle Fusion. This includes recording payments received from customers and ensuring all transactions are properly documented in the system. The role also involves assisting with month-end closing (MEC) activities and preparing related financial reports to support timely and accurate financial statements.
Additionally, the Trainee Officer will address and resolve queries from both internal teams and external stakeholders, maintaining clear communication and ensuring smooth operational workflows. Managing ad hoc tasks as assigned by the finance team is also an essential part of the role, requiring flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities.
Regular reporting on process performance to line management is expected, with a focus on compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and adherence to daily operational routines. This responsibility ensures transparency and continuous improvement within the finance function.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should be ACCA Finalists or Affiliates, ICMA certified, or hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential to effectively interact with stakeholders and prepare reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams, is required to manage data, presentations, and communication efficiently. The role demands excellent time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
